Long Bay Drive

Auckland, NZ

2015

Outdoor image of brightly coloured house, beyond trees and landscaping

For this extensive renovation and reclad of a 1970s two level house in the beach suburb of Torbay on Auckland’s North Shore we used a mix of our signature coloured panels and timber facings with mixed-width cedar shiplap cladding.

All external joinery was replaced with new aluminium double glazed units. Internally we lined the upper level skillion ceiling with timber, retaining the exposed rafters and with it the 1970s feel of the house.

New doors were incorporated on the upper level leading to decks at both ends of the dining area creating much better flow to the outside.
